What does Atelier Avanzar have to do with Foundation Avanzar?
Behind the ATELIER AVANZAR'S (AA) label is the non-profit Foundation, Fundación Avanzar, founded by Margarita Heredia Forster in Zurich in 1999 to support socially disadvantaged mothers, women, at-risk teenagers, and sick children in Ecuador. The Foundation's programs have gradually become more diverse because education and training are the keys to economic independence.

Since 2009, Ecuadorian women have been the backbone of the Foundation by creating bags and accessories in Cuenca, Ecuador, that effortlessly combine fine craftsmanship, classic fashion, and long-lasting styles made of durable materials. Visit AA's shop to feast your eyes.

My Story as an Ambassador
Approximately seven years ago, I met Margarita at an event hosted by the Ecuadorian Embassy, where she spoke about A.A. On one of my many visits back home, I went to East Hampton, NY. There, I noticed Ecuadorian artistry making a lot of noise in an upscale market. These products stayed in my mind. In November 2019, my husband and I visited Ecuador to discover my birthplace. Being there brought me closer to a culture eager to succeed. We returned from Ecuador with the desire to help. Being a representative of A.A., I don’t only have fun inviting friends and their friends to an Apéro to introduce the new lines. I am also proud to promote a high-end product while empowering Ecuadorian women.
